Rachel Bouman currently serves as a Deputy Associate Director within the Library of Congress.

So how did she get here?
Bouman received her J.D. from the University of the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law, where she was also the editor-in-chief of The Transnational Lawyer. Bouman officially launched her legal career at Porter Scott PC, where she served as a Senior Associate. There, she proved herself by successfully managing litigation files and representing clients in litigation arising under Title VII as well as California state employment laws. After several years, she transitioned into a role at the Office of Chief Counsel in a Department of Justice agency, where she was Senior Attorney Advisor. Her tenure with DOJ saw a number to notable accomplishments, including the leadership of a diverse team of employees with the mission of implementing settlement agreements and court findings to ensure compliance with a number of processes and procedures. Today, Rachel Bouman uses her unique skill set to provide critical leadership and management of employees within the Library of Congress. She also provides consultation and legal advice on a full complement of topics. While Rachel is passionate about her work, that’s not all she’s about. Her busy schedule has led her to explore the culinary world in search of quick, yet healthy recipes. For her, maintaining a fitness regimen is a must. Bouman also likes to travel.
